This bay consists of a 59,328 M2 construction area with heights that range from 10 to 14 meters inside. In this project were built spaces such as the Penthouse (area in which the electro-mechanical installations are housed), the logistics area (warehouse and loading bays), production (engine manufacturing and testing lines), sanitary modules, coordination sheds and dynamometer chambers.

The metallic structure was made through an efficient calculus program to optimize its proper density, using high-quality, A-50 steel. The facade was built with silver grey,.20 caliber, steel sheet, to which vertical, aluminum-frame glass windows were incorporated, thus achieving to conserve the customer’s corporate image.

A Cover System was built through a .22 caliber Deck, to which 2” mineral rock insulation was mechanically overlaid as thermal insulation and fireproofing. Later, a TYPE 0.060” waterproof membrane was installed, thus achieving a high-durability, low-maintenance system with a 15-year warranty.

The reinforced concrete floor was designed for the specific workloads as required by the client, resulting in the construction of a 20 centimeter depth floor of MR-42 concrete of low contraction and with construction joint spacings every 24 meters, achieving a low-maintenance product for wear at the joints. Finally, an epoxy finish in different thicknesses and colors was applied.
